Patti Smith and her band

Pionnière du punk-rock, née en 1946 à Chicago, Patti Smith a trouvé très vite sa voie avec les poésies d’Arthur Rimbaud et les musiques de Dylan. Après avoir joué dans le monde entier, Patti Smith, en 1978, s’associe à l’écriture avec Bruce Springsteen du non moins célèbre « Because The Night » titre repris par « 10000 Maniacs » en 1993 et qui en firent un nouveau tube notamment pour la nouvelle génération. On lui doit aussi l’album « Wave » sorti en 1979 et l’incontournable « Frederick » dédié à son mari  Fred « Sonic » Smith. Patti Smith revient aujourd’hui avec un nouvel album « Banga ».
